Dune Code Update 03/30/2026

DOWNLOAD UPDATE:

1. Download the current update file from here. — The previous releases are now linked on the update history page – just click on the version number link.

2. Unzip the update file to extract the “dune.fun” file.

3. Place that “dune.fun” file on to a USB thumb drive (32GB, Formatted FAT32 32kb and USB 3.0 recommended) Please note, do not format the usb drive with a Mac or Chromebook.

4. Open the backbox of the game and locate the PC (it’s the little black box in the middle)

5. With the game booted up (yes really it needs to be on) and running, insert the USB thumb drive into any open USB port.

6. The game will automatically update.

7. When the update is complete, The screen will prompt you to remove the thumb drive.

8. When you remove the thumb drive, the game will restart.

If you're updating from OLDER than 2025.11.24 the following applies:
Due to updated worm board firmware in this build - after
the worm does it's initialization on first boot, you'll need to
use the Worm utility to adjust your "flush height" to make sure
the top of the worm is even with the playfield.

- ADDED: Voice From The Outer World - The final battle between Paul and Feyd!
- ADDED: Run From Shai-Hulud - A side quest focused on looping the side ramp.
- ADDED: Spice Dreams - A side quest that has Paul seeing visions of the future.
- ADDED: New options for starting time (day/night) period - "Alternate" and "Random".
- ADDED: Optional feature setting to carry over resources on the playfield from ball to ball.
- ADDED: Bene Gesserit award count and Sandwalks left to Run added to instant info HUD.
- CHANGED: What used to be starting "Spice" is now starting resource for first time period, 
           what used to be starting "Water" is now starting resource for the second.
- FIXED: In battle, if you killed the harvester with a thopter on the right and fedaykin not running,
         the ramp diverter request would stay in place leading to every ball exiting the back of the ramp.
- FIXED: The spice capacity increase display bit was wired to the water display instead of its own.
- FIXED: Hunter-Seeker didn't unload if you didn't collect it, so it couldn't be started again.
- FIXED: Hunter-Seeker target processing was still active on the next ball if
         ball drained while HS was live. Causes the banner to show up again.
- FIXED: The "Boosted" volume was not working as intended and has been fixed.  Setting for how
         much to boost has been force reset to avoid anybody that had it cranked up when it was broken
         getting scared to death or possibly deafened ;)
- FIXED: After cashing out in Train, the game didn't properly fix the number of 
         balls in play count, which could lead to extra balls launched with a 
         ball save (sandsnork, scoop kickout) for the rest of the ball.
- FIXED: Sacrifice ending of Harvester Battle didn't show proper value if multiplied.
- FIXED: Hunter-Seeker start was active during Barrel Ball unintentionally.
- FIXED: Barrel Ball music comes back when a new ball is launched after a tilt.
- FIXED: Loading the sandsnork was leaving the global "timers paused" on.
- FIXED: Some timing situations that prevented the score frame zoom in/out from working properly.
- FIXED: A race condition situation when loading a sand snork and draining out of multiball
         at the same time.
