Labyrinth Code Update 9/28/2025
OPTION 1: UPDATE VIA THE INTERNET
If you have your game connected to a wifi or wired network, you can check for updated code in the service menu.
1. Open the service menu and select ‘NETWORK’
2. Select ‘GAME UPDATES’ and wait for the scan to finish and update the screen.
3. If a newer code update is found, press <START> or <ENTER> to download the update.
4. Once the download is finished, you’ll be prompted to press <START> or <ENTER> again to install the update.
OPTION 2: MANUAL DOWNLOAD UPDATE:
1. Download the current update file from here. — The previous releases are now linked on the update history page – just click on the version number link.
2. Unzip the update file to extract the “lab.fun” file.
3. Place that “lab.fun” file on to a USB thumb drive (USB 3.0 recommended)
4. Open the backbox of the game and locate the PC (it’s the little black box in the middle)
5. With the game booted up (yes really it needs to be on) and running, insert the USB thumb drive into any open USB port.
6. The game will automatically update.
7. When the update is complete, At least one screen will prompt you to remove the thumb drive. Sometimes the updater only puts this message on the lower screen — we’re working on that.
8. When you remove the thumb drive, the game will restart.
Change Log for the Latest Version:
Version: 2025.09.28 ------------------- This update doesn't have any functional changes over the previous release. What it does include is an update to the framework the game is built on for better stability and performance. Version: 2025.08.27 ------------------- ADDED: "Lifetime" games started/balls started audits that will not reset. ADDED: "INSERT TOKEN" added to the options that you can set the "no-credits" text to. ADDED: Audio settings menu - only the compressor settings are there, existing audio settings stayed where they were. CHANGED: Wifi Scan/Join should work with unicode characters in SSID. CHANGED: Adding credits with service buttons makes a noise just like coin-up does. CHANGED: Don't blur background on credit if door is open. CHANGED: Text on the confirmation screen of the reset utility for clarity. CHANGED: Manual audio ducking replaced with audio compressors. UPDATED: Updated Playfield image in switch test. FIXED: Audit bug that was wrongfully adding 2 "games started" for each game played. FIXED: Labels on the Right Orbit Arrow LEDs were reversed. FIXED: A specific bug where the hands "change row" could happen when it shouldn't. Thanks Frank P! FIXED: The "number of balls in play" on the debug overlay wasn't accurate all the time. FIXED: Game mode menu would still come up in credit play, even if set for freeplay only. FIXED: (hopefully, hard to test) a timing bug that would hang tilt if it registered right as the ball ended. FIXED: "Games Started" counted multiplayer as 1 "game" until now.
