Labyrinth Code Update 2/1/2025

OPTION 1: UPDATE VIA THE INTERNET

If you have your game connected to a wifi or wired network, you can check for updated code in the service menu.

1. Open the service menu and select ‘NETWORK’

2. Select ‘GAME UPDATES’ and wait for the scan to finish and update the screen.

3. If a newer code update is found, press <START> or <ENTER> to download the update.

4. Once the download is finished, you’ll be prompted to press <START> or <ENTER> again to install the update.

OPTION 2: MANUAL DOWNLOAD UPDATE:

1. Download the current update file from here. — The previous releases are now linked on the update history page – just click on the version number link.

2. Unzip the update file to extract the “lab.fun” file.

3. Place that “lab.fun” file on to a USB thumb drive (USB 3.0 recommended)

4. Open the backbox of the game and locate the PC (it’s the little black box in the middle)

5. With the game booted up (yes really it needs to be on) and running, insert the USB thumb drive into any open USB port.

6. The game will automatically update.

7. When the update is complete, At least one screen will prompt you to remove the thumb drive. Sometimes the updater only puts this message on the lower screen — we’re working on that.

8. When you remove the thumb drive, the game will restart.

CHANGED: Coil/Switch/LED names in service menus updated for parity with the pending manual.
CHANGED: Four Guards 'exit' shot will process if:
         - You make it to EITHER scoop through the back of the u-turn
         - You fall into the wiseman 'sneak' back entry
         - You make a full right-to-left u-turn shot and both switches register.
         (Previously a "u-turn shot to the village" was the only way to end it)

FIXED: Lighting priorities tweaked on Goblin City due to Wiseman Multiball conflict.
FIXED: The Ello 'cheap drain' protection and the ball save didn't get along.
FIXED: Long standing bug preventing Goblin City progress with left orbit shot timeouts.
FIXED: During Oubliette a ball launch could trigger the second shot for the right orbit.
FIXED: The last shot of Knockers could be collected on a ball launch.
FIXED: The last shot of Knockers now registers on a 'weak' right orbit that goes to the inner loop.
FIXED: Wiseman drop target did not reset on ball start if active player was in the middle of a quest.
POSSIBLY FIXED: A change was made to try to avert random reboots in attract mode that have been reported.
